Antonio Manesco
Dr. Antonio Manesco is a postdoctoral researcher in the Kavli Institute of Nanoscience, at Delft University of Technology, a partner institution of the CQE.
In September, 2022, Dr. Manesco traveled to Cornell University to investigate Coulomb repulsion effects in graphene Josephson junctions as part of a collaboration between the theory group of Prof. Anton Akhmerov at TU Delft and the experimental group of Prof. Valla Fatemi at Cornell. Their groups have been actively collaborating in recent years. The goal of this short exchange was to allow Antonio to discuss the detailed physics of these devices that will allow the two groups to establish realistic theoretical models and plan experiments based upon the theoretical predictions.
The visit will also help the group at TU Delft develop closer connections to the group of Prof. Katja Nowack at Cornell, whose lab works on mesoscopic phenomena in two-dimensional materials.
