2024 IRTE Applications Now Open!

Two Summer 2024 International Research and Training Experience (IRTE) Opportunities on Quantum Materials and Devices in Japan and Germany

We are offering two structured research experiences involving Quantum Information Sciences. The first is a 10-week program at the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS) in Tsukuba, Japan and involves Quantum Materials. The second is at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany, and will last up to 12-weeks. Both programs are open to advanced undergraduates with prior research experience (e.g. REU), with an interest in materials and devices for quantum information systems. Participant selections will be made by December 2023. We anticipate selecting a cohort of up to 4 students for each program.
